1) Provide WindReach with a rich and exciting inclusive play space where individuals of all
abilities can play and engage together while growing and learning through physical, emotional, sensory and social experiences.
2) Provide WindReach with equipment that will further enhance the therapeutic and
recreational programmes, and furthermore, introduce a sustained incremental source of
income to maintain the playground for all to enjoy for many years to come.
WindReach is a registered charity providing educational, therapeutic and recreational programmes helping people with disabilities to develop the skills they need to integrate into the broader community. WindReach helps those with cerebral palsy, autism, spina bifida, visual and aural impairments, developmental delays, down syndrome, traumatic brain injury and dementia.
MAMA is a not for profit run solely by volunteers. Our aim is to connect families across the island helping them make new friends and build support networks. We provide weekly playgroups for babies and up, support groups, educational visits and training as well as holiday parties and a whole host of social activities for children and their parents. We also run many fundraising events throughout the year to benefit other family orientated charities in Bermuda. Over the last few years we have donated to The Reading Clinic, The Coalition for the Protection of Children and St Johns Food Bank. MAMA has a regular playdate at WindReach every Tuesday afternoon and hosts our Easter party on site. We are excited to develop our partnership with WindReach and support their vital work in the community.
